The Troubles Collection

We were asked by BBC Northern Ireland to create an OOH and digital campaign for their collection of documentaries and content marking 50 years since the Troubles started. Our key challenge: turn sensitive subject matter into essential viewing for under 35s.
Our solution: an arresting campaign that personalised a nation’s history for younger viewers under the tagline ‘Your Present Has A Past’. Fragmented visual language and provocative headlines bucked the clichés of traditional history-focused advertising.
